Total Quality Management is a business philosophy developed by statistician W. Edwards Deming. Quality is anything that enhances the product or service from the point of view of the customer. Based on statistical research, Deming favored continuous improvement of quality overtime advocating the elimination of Management by Objectives. Long-term healthy relationships among suppliers and manufacturers should drive production processes.
