Mentors and the Mentoring Process
Introduction
People benefit from the mentoring process, both the mentor and the mentee. This experience allows people to share inspiration as well as pass on their wisdom through advice, feedback, and counsel. Mentors are like coaches, speaking from their lived experience, passing on what they have earned, learned and know. Mentoring is a mutual commitment that is purposeful and has a form. Effective mentors have specific qualities, and the mentoring process holds expectations for both mentor and mentee over time.
