Activity 1 – Accelerating Knowledge Sharing
Each Catalytic Thinking Lab is supported by a WindTunneling project. WindTunneling is a systemic methodology to accelerate learning and knowledge sharing. Share what you learned from the lab transparently and anonymously. Compare your thinking and respond to the ideas of others. Everyone gets to see every idea; no one knows who shared which idea.
Go to WindTunneling. Use Project Code 44DSU to record your insights.
Activity 2 – Teaching as Learning
Create a 5-10 minute presentation to teach these qualities to a friend and to a coworker. First, teach your friend. What questions did they have? What did they think was important? Refine your presentation and teach it to a colleague. How did your refinements change your presentation? Ask your colleague for feedback about your presentation and what they learned that could be useful to your organization. Reflect on your two presentations, write 1-2 paragraphs reflecting on what you learned.
Activity 3 – Qualities of an Innovation
What were the last three new-to-you things you bought? Create a knowledge map. Identify each of the five qualities for these innovations. Do you see any patterns about the innovations? Do you notice anything about your perceptions and decision-making process?
