Activity 1 – Accelerating Knowledge Sharing
Each Catalytic Thinking Lab is supported by a WindTunneling project. WindTunneling is a systemic methodology to accelerate learning and knowledge sharing. Share what you learned from the lab transparently and anonymously. Compare your thinking and respond to the ideas of others. Everyone gets to see every idea; no one knows who shared which idea.
Go to WindTunneling. Use Project Code 52SKAF to record your insights.
Activity 2 – Teaching as Learning
Create your own visual aid to explain the two worldviews presented in this lab. You can use the chalkboard as a reference. Teach at least two other people about these worldviews. What questions did they ask you? How did you respond? What did you learn about this lab in the process of teaching the idea to someone else?
Activity 3 – Synthesis
Spend 10-30 minutes reflecting. You experienced two different storytelling techniques. What was the same and what was different about each lab activity in terms of what you learned? How did listening to other people’s stories give you new insights about yourself and/or about your role in the organization? What are the barriers to becoming an unassuming leader? Are there potential drawbacks? Are there times when authority is necessary?
