Activity 1 – Accelerating Knowledge Sharing
Each Catalytic Thinking Lab is supported by a WindTunneling project. WindTunneling is a systemic methodology to accelerate learning and knowledge sharing. Share what you learned from the lab transparently and anonymously. Compare your thinking and respond to the ideas of others. Everyone gets to see every idea; no one knows who shared which idea.
Go to WindTunneling. Use Project Code 52SKAL to record your insights.
Activity 2 – Teaching as Learning
Identify two or more key ideas from this topic and design a 10-minute Teach-It lesson to give to a colleague. You will probably need visual aids and examples/stories to help get the ideas across. Once you have given your lesson, ask your “student” what he/she took away and understood. Then redesign your lesson, and give it to a different person – and ask. Write up your insights.
Activity 3 – Practicing Meeting Post-Mortem
Continue your practice with the meeting post-mortem analysis for the next three meetings you attend. Keep track of the meetings like you did in the lab activity. What patterns are noticing about these meetings? Where have they been effective and where have they fallen short? How will you design effective meetings?
