Activity 1 – Accelerating Knowledge Sharing

Each Catalytic Thinking Lab is supported by a WindTunneling project. WindTunneling is a systemic methodology to accelerate learning and knowledge sharing. Share what you learned from the lab transparently and anonymously. Compare your thinking and respond to the ideas of others. Everyone gets to see every idea; no one knows who shared which idea.

Activity 2 – Developing Understanding of Topical Events

Identify an environmental issue that interests you. Research some of the data and statistics related to the issue you chose. Select 1-2 facts to step through a serial inference tree. Consider the implications and consequences in the near-term, mid-term, and long-term. How did this exercise affect your thinking on this issue?

Activity 3 – Futuring Your Opportunities

Continue your work from Serial Inferences Lab. Practice serial inferences with opportunities from all the columns on your map. Record your insights in a chart for near-term, mid-term, and long-term.

As you do this, consider revising your opportunity statements based on your insights.
