Introduction
How certain are we that something is valid and true? We need to be awake and vigilant about our thinking and how we make sense of the world amidst the tsunami of flying facts that inundate us. Validity is about reliability, accuracy, defensibility, and accordance with current reality. Unchecked facts can distort understanding and create an erroneous picture of reality. The 6Cs of Validity and Truth can test flying facts and help strengthen individual confidence.
“Many hands make light work” is an old expression. In today’s complex environment, we can share the load with our peers by taking key “flying facts” and use the 6Cs to guide our exploration and share our fact-finding.
